Hot tub and nature garden bookings
Pre-paid advance bookings for our nature spa area are essential.
Our unique Kiwitub is filled with fresh chemical-free water and heated to order for you. Heating takes 3-4 hours with driftwood or one and a half hours (and half a 9kg bottle of LPG gas).
With the partially roofed hot tub comes a wonderful old 1940's wood-fired stove (A Wellstood, forerunner of the Aga), fuelled and lit (night-time only) a heated retro 1950's caravan done out as an intimate candlelit retreat, with a daybed, table and cushion seats, and a roofed beach pebble patio area with windows looking out on to the waves from the mighty Tasman, breaking metres away.
This private area is exclusively yours for as long as you want it - a couple of hours, or for an entire evening lit with flame torches, candles and solar. Imagine no noise, no power, no jets, just you and the sound of the flax leaves rustling in the sea breeze, calls of sea birds and penguins, the crash of the waves, and the crackle of the log fire.

Charming Creek Walkway luxury walking package
This is one of the South Island's top rated day walks (4.5 hrs) which follows Charming Creek from the Glasgow mountain range to the Ngakawau River Gorge, and the mighty Tasman Sea. It is rated easy - is downhill from the top to the bottom, and follows two private heritage railroads from pioneering days - with mining and sawmilling relics, sulphur springs, turbulent rapids and waterfalls, tunnels and spectacular bush.
